How to avoid alerts during Windows Update when using HIPS
If you are using HIPS protection and Spyware Terminator shows a number of alert windows while updating Windows, please do the following:
Switch to allow mode: Right-click on the Spyware Terminator tray icon, click on the "Adjust Real-Time Shield Mode" and then select the "Allow Mode" option.
All actions will now be allowed automatically, you won't be bothered by any alert windows.
After the Windows update is finished, Windows usually needs to restart. After restarting, some system files are replaced with their newer versions and Spyware Terminator may ask you about them.
To allow all changes quickly instead of allowing each file individually, you’ll need to rebuild your HIPS database.
To rebuild the HIPS database, go to the Spyware Terminator center, open the Settings tab and click on the “Real-Time Prot.” button on the left side. Now click on the “Rebuild HIPS” button.
