A growing trend of Internet abuse focusses on media frenzy. The death of famous pop singer Michael Jackson just confirms this trend. Mostly, the targets of such abuse are social networks whose members are lured to attackers’ websites using various offers to view videos or news about the singer, etc. Easy targets of such attacks are celebrity fan sites. Other abusive means are instant messengers and spam emails. Be careful when you receive similar messages, open only verified links, and activate the real-time shield of your security software.
